The publishing house takes its name from Agapanthus — a plant whose name derives from the Greek agape (love) and anthos (flower). The Flower of Love. Agapanthus is a genus of perennial plants with upright stems carrying a rounded umbel of blue or white flowers. It originates in southern Africa and is also known as the African Lily.
Agapanthus was established in 2026 in order to publish the Artist Book Å vite er å spørre / Savoir, c’est questionner, and serves as the artist’s own publishing imprint.
